“Best poutine in Ottawa!”

Best poutine in Ottawa! As anyone who knows will tell you, this is the best poutine in the city! Whether you’re craving a traditional poutine, such as their classic large poutine with extra cheese and their homemade brown gravy, or you’re looking for a specialty poutine, such as the Lebanese poutine, Greek poutine, Italian poutine, pizza poutine, breakfast poutine, or my personal favourite, the Canadian Poutine (beef, bacon, onions, mushrooms, fries, curds, brown sauce), you can’t go wrong with this place. Serge and his staff are the warmest and most inviting people, and they sure can brew up some good grub! I’ve been going there for years, and will continue to be going for years to come.

“Talk about a hidden gem?!”

Talk about a hidden gem?! The Great Canadian Poutinerie, formally known as the Vanier Snack Shack, is buried in the back roads of Montreal Rd. Offering a large selection of poutines,  this hidden poutine heaven has something for everyone. The poutine is delicious.  Fries are fresh and crispy, the gravy is never lumpy and you can’t go wrong with St-Albert’s curd. The perfect poutine! A must try is the [Grilled Cheese] which would be pretty standard if it would not be for those delicious cheese curds that they added to this old favourite. I would definitely recommend The Great Canadian Poutinerie and will return.

“It was excellent!”

The basic poutine. It was excellent! Crispy fries, squeaky fresh curds and delicious hot gravy. It good hotter the deeper I got into it and the gravy and curds melded into gooey deliciousness.
